For people and organizations who have outgrown the story that once made sense.
You're standing at a threshold. The old story has collapsed but the new one hasn't arrived. This isn't a problem to solve, it's terrain to navigate. That's what this work is for.
I'm Chris Hoff — therapist, cultural architect, and founder of Dangerous Stories Studio. I work with people and organizations who are serious about what comes next.
Cultural Architecture, Not Self-Help .
Most of my work falls into three modes: individual sessions for people in serious life transitions; Futuring Sprints for people or organizations that need to think beyond the next quarter; and The Crossing, a cohort for practitioners building a body of work rather than a career.

Cultural Architect | Liminal Space Guide | Founder, Dangerous Stories Studio
I've been a licensed therapist for over two decades, the founder and clinical director of California Family Institute, and the host of The Radical Therapist Podcast. I co-edited An Encyclopedia of Radical Helping (Thick Press, 2024) and write the Liminal Lab Substack on cultural architecture, futures thinking, and narrative practice.
Dangerous Stories Studio is the consulting and creative platform where all of this converges. I work with therapists, leaders, creatives, and institutions who have run out of road with conventional models.
